I was in a high school math class. Teaching was the legendarily dreaded Mrs. McCartan. I sat near the left of the windowless, off-white room. Corey was to my right. Skulski was sitting in the back. The atmosphere was semi-raucous. Corey was instructed to read a math problem aloud from the textbook. He immediately entered into difficulty, which in turn threw him into an over-defensive stance. Skulski and I were laughing about unrelated matters. Corey pointed us out and called us something to the effect of "screw-ups." This more or less silenced the room. As he went back to attempt to read the math problem, he was fighting the tears of a breakdown. The teacher started speaking up, possibly to guide Corey, but he sharply and rudely spoke back to her. The teacher asked why he is attacking her now. Corey's wife Lisa was also in the class, near the front right. She stood up, and it was clear that she was pregnant. Corey, in his intense defensive attitude, pointed to Lisa and told the teacher she is the mother of his child. Lisa then said, "not if you keep acting this way."
